What may trigger fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder. Usually, it is characterized by widespread muscle pain, fatigue, memory problems and mood changes. Also, like many chronic diseases, these symptoms can come and go.
But sometimes you may find when you do something without any intention to release it, fibromyalgia does occur and bring you a lot of pain.
One of the best ways to prevent a flare is to find out what might be the triggers. Like symptoms, triggers for the condition vary by person, but in most cases they include:
- physical or psychological stress
- temperature or weather changes
- hormonal changes
- traveling or changes in schedule
- changes in treatment
- poor sleep
Admittedly, some flares can not be avoided, but certain triggers are under your control.
Despite your best efforts, sometimes it is going to flare. When you unfortunately get the condition, try to identify what aggravates your symptoms. Then you can keep a log of your activities, food and life habits.
But the most important thing is to talk to your doctor and work with him for a best treatment plan.
