Q:
What is the prognosis of B-cell lymphoma?
A:
B-cell lymphomas refer to the kind of lymphoma that affects B cells. The disease is also known as “blood cancers” in the lymph nodes. Older adults and immunocompromised individuals are the most vulnerable groups.
Patients who develop B-cell lymphomas rather than T-cell lymphomas are supposed to have better prognoses. B-cell lymphomas can also be divided into 2 subtypes, that is follicular lymphoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Although the subtypes belong to one parent category, patients with follicular tend to have better prognosis those diagnosed with the other one.
