What is positional asphyxiation?
Positional asphyxiation is also called postural asphyxia. It is a form of asphyxiation that often occurs when someone’s position prevents the person from breathing adequately.
According to research, positional asphyxia is very common in cause if infants’ death. Besides, positional asphyxiation may also occur when police, prison (corrections) officers, military or health care staff intend to restrain someone.
