Pediatric appendicitis score is a kind of medical diagnosis scoring system used in children. There are different scoring systems, but no excellent scoring system exists to determine if a child has appendicitis.
One of the most common scoring systems is the Alvarado score. A score below 5 suggests no appendicitis, while a score of 7 or more represents an acute appendicitis.
