Infiltrative basal cell carcinoma is a subtype of basal cell carcinoma (BCC). BCC is a common kind of skin cancer. In most cases, the condition of basal cell carcinoma is safe. Surgery or medications can treat it.

However, infiltrative basal cell carcinoma is more difficult to treat, because it tends to penetrate into deeper parts of the skin.

If it is infiltrative BCC, you may find tissues that looks like scars. Besides, the skin tends to be thickening.

Therefore, more aggressive treatments are needed to deal with this type of BCC.
