What is hypoglycemia?
Hypoglycemia isn’t a disease itself — it’s an indicator of a health problem. It is a low level of blood sugar (glucose), glucose is your body’s main energy source.
Hypoglycemia is often related to the treatment of diabetes. However, people without diabetes can also have low blood sugar, like people with fever.
When blood sugar levels are at 70 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) or 3.9 millimoles per liter (mmol/L) or below, you must take immediate treatment of hypoglycemia. You can eat high-sugar foods or drinks or use medications to take your sugar blood level back into a normal range.
Please check with doctors immediately if you need more information.
