Granulomatous dermatitis is a rare skin disorder in which there is a granulomatous inflammation of the skin. More specifically, it’s characterized by red patches or papules on the skin, which may vary in size and shape over a period of time.

Depending on the histological appearance, cases of granulomatous dermatitis can be grouped into 3 types:

  • interstitial granulomatous dermatitis (IGD),
  • palisading neutrophilic granulomatous dermatitis (PNGD),
  • and interstitial granulomatous drug reaction (IGDR).
