What is cataracts and what cause it?
A cataract is a clouding of the normally clear lens of eye. People with cataracts may have the feeling of looking through a frosty window. It may add difficulty to reading and driving. Most cataracts develop slowly and will not disturb eyesight.
Following factors may cause cataracts:
- Injury that changes the tissue making up eye’s lens.
- Inherited genetic disorders.
- Long-term use of steroid medications.
