What is aortic aneurysm size?
The abdominal aortic aneurysms have different size and this kind of aneurysms are commonly divided according to their size. An aneurysm is usually defined as an outer aortic diameter over 3 cm or more than 50% of normal diameter. The normal diameter of the aorta is <2.1 cm/m2. The normal diameter of the abdominal aorta is regarded to be less than 3.0 cm. The size range must be corrected for age and sex.
