If you are considering your Gleason Score, you may already finish your biopsy. This Grading system was coined by Donald Gleason, a Pathologist, in the 1960’s. He divided the cancerous cells into 5 distinct patterns, with a scoring from 1 to 5.
Generally speaking:
Scores: 2~ 4, less aggressive.
Scores: 5~ 6, at a higher risk.
Scores: 7~10,more aggressive.
