What Causes Yellow Vision?  

Xanthopsia is a color vision deficiency. It means there is a predominance of yellow in vision due to a yellowing of the optical media of the eye.

Digoxin’s side effect comes first in yellow vision’s causes list, due to its inhibitory action on the sodium pump. Besides, the development of cataracts is likely to bring a yellow filtering effect. The most famous example is Gogh’s works. It has been suggested that Digitalis-derived digoxin, used to treat heart failure, induced his xanthopsia.

Moreover, jaundice can also cause yellow vision. This yellow vision comes from the deposited bilirubin.
