What Causes Diabetes Swelling Feet?

Patients with both diabetes and hypertension seem to be more easily to get the swollen feet. My dad is one of them. I want to know the common causes, and how to prevent it?

Swollen feet can be caused by many reasons, even including long periods of standing. For patients with diabetes, they should pay more attention to their oral medications such as corticosteroids, and drugs against high blood pressure.
