What Are Uncontrollable Coughing Spasms?
A Coughing spasm may continue for longer than about five minutes. It is out of your control and you can’t simply stop it. You will feel it difficult to breathe or talk during coughing spasms. Severe conditions can even cause vomiting, choking, light-headedness, or muscle soreness.
Coughing can be a symptom of various mild to serious diseases and disorders , such as influenza, upper respiratory infection, inflammation, allergies, trauma, malignancy, and airway obstruction.
