Natural Home Remedies for Cradle Cap

Cradle cap is one of the most common skin problems in infants. This problem is characterized by rough and scaly patches on the scalp. It can be seen in newborns and children up to 3 years.

1. Olive oil

Olive oil – 2 teaspoons

A washcloth

Mild baby shampoo

Directions:

First, apply olive oil to the scalp and hair of your baby.

Next, leave it for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Then rub the scalp gently through the washcloth to loosen the crusted skin.

Finally, wash your baby’s hair and scalp with the mild baby shampoo along with warm water.

 

2. Baby shampoo

One of the natural home remedies for cradle cap is to use baby shampoo. Washing your baby’s head every day with a mild baby shampoo along with warm water can help to effectively remove cradle cap. It may help to loosen the flakes of the cap without irritating your baby’s soft skin.

Ingredients:

Mild baby shampoo

Warm water

A soft towel

Directions:

First, enjoy your baby’s scalp in warm water.

Then add a small amount of baby shampoo to your baby’s head.

Next, gently massage it in.

Now, wait for about two minutes.

After that, scrub the scalp of our baby with a soft-bristled baby brush.

Finally, have your baby’s head rinsed thoroughly with warm water and then pat it dry with the soft cloth.

You should follow this remedy once a day for the first weekend, then twice a week until this problem is fully treated.

 

3. Mineral oil

Mild baby shampoo

After that,  comb your baby’s hair gently to remove the flaky dry skin.

Finally, wash your baby’s scalp and hair with the mild shampoo and tap it dry.

5. Coconut oil

Organic coconut oil

A comb

Mild baby shampoo
