Meal Plan for Chronic Pancreatitis Patients: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Q:
Can you share a meal plan for chronic pancreatitis patients?

A:
Chronic pancreatitis is a long-standing inflammation of the pancreas, which can change your organ’s normal structure and functions. Your pancreas has difficulty in secreting enzymes if you get chronic pancreatitis. As a result, it will impair your ability to digest food.

So, chronic pancreatitis patients should pay more attention to their diets. Generally, they are recommended to focus on foods that are rich in protein, low in animal fats, and contain antioxidants.
