Lymph level is formally known as lymphocyte level. In other words, lymph level is the level of lymphocytes in the blood.
Since lymphocytes are one kind of white blood cells that function in the immune system, an abnormal lymphocyte level may suggest problems.
Normal Range:
- Adults: 1,000 to 4,800 lymphocytes per microliter (µL)
- Children: 3,000 to 9,500 lymphocytes per microliter (µL)
Normal, High, and Low:
- A normal result may be a sign of healthiness.
- As for a high level, it’s called lymphocytosis. Lymphocytosis is usually due to chronic infections, blood cancers, or autoimmune diseases.
- A low level, on the other hand, is lymphocytopenia. It’s often a result of nerve diseases, autoimmune diseases, or infectious diseases (including AIDS).
