How to resolve hypolycemia?
Treatment of hypolycemia requires immediate raise of blood pressure. The initial treatment depends on your conditions. For most cases, consuming 15 to 20 grams of fast-acting carbohydrate can ease your condition. Fast-acting carbohydrates are foods that can be easily converted to sugar. For example, fruit juice, regular soft drinks, and sugary candy such as licorice and chocolates. If you don’t see an obvious rise of blood pressure 15 mins after eating food, consume another 15 to 20 grams of fast-acting food within 15 mins.
To efficiently prevent you from hypolycemia, eating frequent small meals or carrying with you some snacks is a good way to keep your blood pressure at a normal level. However, this method is not a long-term secured way of treating hypolycemia. Make sure to discuss with your doctor to diagnose and treat the underlying cause of hypolycemia.
