Malignant mixed mullerian tumor is also known as malignant mixed mesodermal tumor, MMMT and carcinosarcoma. It is a rare malignant cancer that develops in the uterus, ovary or fallopian tubes. The tumor contains epithelial and stromal cells. The cancer may be slow-growing or aggressive.


Presently, most mixed Mullerian tumors (MMMT) are thought to occur by chance. It has no association with a genetic predisposition.


Both the grade and type of the adenocarcinoma  will affect the prognosis. MMMTs are highly malignant. Thus, early detection improves prognosis.


You may need both surgical and non-surgical glomus tumor treatments, for a combination will be more effective.

  • Radiation therapy
