I have to say that there is no cure for COPD so far. The medications or other treatments like surgery cannot end the condition, solving all the symptoms. COPD imposes damage on your lungs, which is not reversible. A method to stop the degeneration and improve the damage has not be found.

Although COPD is incurable, it is treatable. There are some ways that you can do to relieve the symptoms.
What are the common treatments for COPD?
Living with COPD is tough because it makes you always feel shortness of breath and reduce the capacity of the lungs to absorb oxygen. It is quite debilitating. The treatments include inhalers, medication control, oxygen therapy and surgery.
Is there any cure coming soon?
There is new treatment method called triple therapy, which stands for taking three different medications.
Also, there is something new with oxygen therapy. Standard oxygen therapy benefits patients with advanced COPD by boosting the ability of the lungs to supply oxygen to the blood. They replace oxygen with a mix of helium and oxygen.
