It seems diabetes can cause a lot of diseases. What is the possibility of getting the kidney disease?

Generally speaking, kidney failure do effect diabetes significantly.
About 30 percent of patients with Type 1 (juvenile onset) diabetes eventually will suffer from kidney failure while the number in Type 2 (adult onset) diabetes is around 10 to 40 percent.
