Nowadays, thanks to modern technology and improvement in treatment, the life expectancy of people with cystic fibrosis is much longer than in previous decades.

With proper treatment and care, on average, people with cystic fibrosis can live into their mid-to-late 30s. In some cases, some patients can even live into their 40s and 50s.
