Home Remedies to Help Your Nails Grow Quickly

The nails are made of a type of protein called keratin. We have fingernails and toenails. Some factors in life can affect the growth of nails. So, if you want your nails to grow more quickly so that you can do a manicure, you can try to use the following home remedies.


1. Eggshells

You may think eggshells are not useful and often throw them away after taking the inner parts, but they are indeed beneficial. Eggshells can be used as one of the home remedies for nail growth because of their high levels of calcium, protein, iron (folic acid) and minerals such as magnesium and potassium. These factors help to strengthen the nails and prevent them from being damaged.

How to apply:

Crush the eggshells of an egg in the bowl.

Add pecans, almonds, and flaxseed, and mix to get a powder.

Take a teaspoon of the powder with warm milk every morning.

Use this remedy for one month.


2. Garlic

Garlic is also known as one of the home remedies for nail growth. Specifically, it protects the nails from infection due to its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.

How to apply:

Cut a clove of garlic in half, then rub it on your nails and wait for a few minutes.

Alternatively, mix a few cloves of garlic to get a paste, then apply it to your nails for 5 minutes.


3. Vitamin E

Vitamin E helps nails to grow quickly.

How to apply:

Mix vitamin E with some tea tree oil.

Warm the mixture a little by heating it.

Dip your nails in the warm mixture and leave it on your nails overnight.


4. Essential oils

If you do not take care of your nails carefully, they will easily become brittle, dry, damaged and even infected. It is recommended to use essential oils to massage your nails to keep them healthy, which is also considered as one of the home remedies for nail growth.

You can use tea tree oil or peppermint oil because they are antibacterial and anti-fungal which can help keep your nails free from infections.

How to apply:

Take some tea tree oil or peppermint oil on your fingers then massage it into your nails.


5. Protein

In fact, nails are just simple things that are made from proteins, so it is necessary to provide enough proteins for them to grow. Some high-protein foods recommended are meat, fish, eggs, cheese, and dried fruits, all of which will help you to see the better result after consuming.

How to apply:

You can cook, fry or scramble the egg whatever you like, and eat them regularly.

Add more fish, cheese, dried fruit as well as other protein-rich foods to your diet to encourage your nails to grow.
