Home Remedies for Shiny Hair

Which woman does not want shiny, healthy and silky hair? If you are looking for some home remedies for shiny hair, here are some best home remedies for you to try.

1. Coconut milk or coconut oil

Coconut oil is an ideal solution for the hair, which is considered as a daily hair moisturizer or a cure for dandruff healing. Coconut oil (not refined and organic) is one of the best home remedies for shiny hair that you can use. It can help restore moisture to damaged and dry hair, and make it shiny and healthy.

How to apply:

Apply a few drops of warm coconut oil to hair, from the scalp to the top of the hair.

Massage your hair for about 5 minutes and then wrap your hair in a towel or shower cap for at least half an hour.

Rinse your hair with the cool water, and then use shampoo and conditioner as normal.

2. Beer

Some people use beer to make their hair shiny. Seriously! I’ve used it several times to keep my hair shinier, and I have to admit that beer is very good for the hair. Beer contains hops, which contain silica which helps strengthen your hair and add shine to your hair.

How to apply:

Use shampoo as normal.

Pour some beer on your hair and then massage the scalp and rinse as normal.

Use conditioner as normal.

3. Mayonnaise

One of the simplest home remedies for shiny hair is mayonnaise. If you suffer from dry or damaged hair, you should use this remedy because it will work wonders. Mayonnaise contains amino acids & antioxidants that help strengthen your hair & make it grow nicely.

How to apply:

Pour some warm water to make your hair moist, but not wet.

Rub some mayonnaise on your hair as you use conditioner. The amount of mayonnaise you want to use depends on the thickness and length of the hair.

Leave this on the hair for at least 15 minutes.

Wash out the mayonnaise.

4. Black tea

Black tea contains a lot of caffeine that has been proven to reduce the hormone that is associated with hair loss. In addition, this can darken your hair. Therefore, if you want to have lighter hair, this remedy may not be a good option for your hair.

How to apply:

Add 2 or 4 tea bags to 2 cups of boiled water.

Let it steeply or even overnight for a few hours.

Take the tea and then pour it on your hair after it is washed.

Let it stay on your hair for about 20-30 minutes.

Quickly cover your hair with a plastic cap to prevent dripping.

Rinse as usual.

5. Avocado & olive oil

Avocado is a great source of good fats that nourish and moisturize your scalp and hair. If you have colored hair, you should opt for sweet almonds or jojoba oil instead of olive oil, because it can lighten your hair.

How to apply:

Use a small bowl and whisk mashed avocado with 2 tablespoons of olive oil until you see they are well combined.

Apply this hair mask to the scalp & hair.

Tuck your hair in the shower and wait for about 20 minutes.

Rinse off your hair mask while massaging the scalp.

Use shampoo as normal.
