Home Remedies for Pneumonia

Pneumonia is a respiratory disease characterized by inflammation of the lungs due to a fungal, viral or bacterial infection. In most cases, the problem appears as a mild symptom, like nasal problems, and may take 2 to 3 weeks. Still, it can become very heavy and can even be deadly. Here are some of the best natural home remedies that you can apply at home.

1. Steam inhalation

Steaming can help fight infections and improve breathing by reducing congestion and coughing.

How to apply:

Boil a pot of water and add a few drops of essential oils, such as camphor oil, lemon oil, tea tree oil, lavender oil, and eucalyptus oil.

Inhale the vapor. While inhaling, use a towel to cover the head so that the steam will not escape.

2. Vegetable juice

Fresh cucumber juice, beet juice, spinach juice, carrot juice, and other vegetable juices are very good for your health. Drinking vegetable juice can help improve the immune system. Being rich in chlorine and phosphorus, parsnip juice is also very beneficial for your bronchi and lungs.

How to apply:

You can drink 250 ml or one cup of parsnip juice daily.

Alternatively, combine a portion of beet juice, a portion of cucumber juice, and three portions of carrot juice. Drink it daily.

How to apply:

Boil a cup of water and add 1 tbsp. of sesame seeds.

Add 1 tbsp. of flaxseed, a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp. of honey.

Drink this mixture once a day.

4. Fenugreek seeds

How to apply:

Prepare fenugreek tea by cooking 1 tsp. of fenugreek seeds in about 2 cups or 500 ml of water.

Strain and drink 4 cups of this tea a day.

To increase the taste, you can add a little lemon juice.

5. Cayenne pepper

Cayenne pepper contains high levels of capsaicin, which can help remove the mucus from the respiratory system. Cayenne pepper is also very high in beta carotene, which can aid healthy mucosal development.

How to apply:

Mix a pinch of cayenne pepper and some lemon juice in an 8-ounce glass of water.

Drink it daily.

You can also mix carrot juice with cayenne pepper and drink daily because they are both very good for the treatment of pneumonia.
