Home Remedies for Edema

Edema usually affects the ankles, hands, legs and feet. Common symptoms of edema include swelling, swelling, stretched or shiny skin. There are several home remedies for dealing with edema.

 

1. Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil is one of the best home remedies for edema in the feet, legs and ankles. First of all, it helps to reduce pain and swelling of edema due to its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

How to apply:

Put a few drops of tea tree oil on a cotton swab and then on the troubled area.

Leave it for a few minutes and wash with warm water.

 

2. Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is another home remedy to reduce edema symptoms. It helps to reverse fluid retention and replenish potassium levels in the body thanks to its potassium properties. Further, by anti-inflammatory property, it also helps decrease swelling and pain.

How to apply:

Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of unfiltered or raw apple cider vinegar to a glass of water.

Drink the mixture twice a day.

 

3. Epsom salt

An effective home remedy for edema in the feet, legs and ankles is using Epsom salts. It helps you to get rid of inflammation, swelling and pain due to edema.

How to apply:

Mix 2 cups of Epsom salt in warm bath water.

Soak in it for about ten minutes.

Take the remedy up to three times a week.

 

4. Parsley

Parsley is also effective in reducing swelling and reducing pain caused by edema.

How to apply:

Add 1 teaspoon of dried parsley to 2 cups of water.

Boil it for 10 minutes and then strain.

It is recommended to drink once a day before eating breakfast.

 

5. Dandelion

Dandelion is considered as an excellent home remedy for edema. Most importantly, it helps to drain the fluid and balance sodium in the body thanks to its natural diuretic and potassium properties.

How to apply:

Mix 1 teaspoon of dried or fresh dandelion leaves into a cup of hot water.

Steep for 5 to 7 minutes and then strain.

It is suggested to drink two to three cups of dandelion tea daily.
