Home Remedies for Chigger Bites

Chiggers are sometimes called red bugs. They are very small and are almost impossible to see with the naked eye. These mites resemble tiny spiders, are red in color, and tend to cluster in groups on a person’s skin. Chigger bites can be extremely itchy. Here are some best remedies for them!


1. Hot shower

As soon as you see a symptom of chigger bites, first take a hot shower. Hot water can reduce chiggers on the body and also reduce the reactions of the skin from their bites.

How to apply:

First, gently rub the body well with a mild antiseptic soap while showering.

Then use a soft cloth to dab your body dry.

Remember, do not vigorously rub your body, because this can cause more pain and rashes.

2. Baking powder

How to apply:

Add 1 cup of baking soda in a bath containing full of cold water.

Then stir well and enjoy in this baking water for about 15 to 10 minutes.

3. Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is one of the greatest home remedies for chigger stings. Thanks to the anti-itching and antiseptic properties, apple cider vinegar will always help to get rid of itching, swelling and inflammation.

Pour 2 cups of unfiltered and raw ACV in the lukewarm water contained in a bath.

4. Olive oil
