FDA Approved Drugs and User Comments: OXAYDO

For Pain “It’s oxycodone plain and simple. If you ever had a problem with oxycodone, percocet, etc. In the past, you WILL have a problem with this med. I have been on oxycodone of various forms for nearly a decade and see no difference between this and the others. I am a bit puzzled though, why the FDA can grant approval of this formulation in only 5mg and 7.5mg strengths. Supposedly they got denied an approval to market this med in higher doses.”

For Chronic Pain “All this is is oxycodone with extra filler as an abuse deterrent. If you don’t respond well to oxycodone, Oxycontin or Percocet, then you won’t have a favorable response to this med either as it’s the exact same active ingredient. I’ve been on several different meds over the years but always return back to the oxy because it’s hands down, the most effective with fewest side effects.”

For Chronic Pain “I have been on this for 3 months now and considering the horrible time I had with tramadol, I love this medication. My dr. told me it is a safer alternative to classic Percocet and I would have to say I agree. I have a spinal injury so pain is a constant in my life. This has been a nice balance with pain relief so I can function without feeling drugged up or having horrible side effects. I would recommend this to anyone. I do not “crave” it like I did when I was on regular Percocet. Sometimes I even forget to take it for an hour or so after the specified time. My ONLY complaint is that it is hard to find. 3 times I have had to have my pharmacy order it and wait days without meds for them to get it in.”

For Chronic Pain “Absolutely terrible medicine!! Does nothing for pain. Ibuprofen 800 is about the equivalent. Not to mention constipation. Asked to be lowered from these to 5mg regular oxycodone & my doc wouldn’t do it. Needless to say I’m in the process of finding a new doctor. If you have a choice between Oxyado & anything else opt for the latter.”

For Chronic Pain “HORRIBLE medication. This is my first review for anything but I felt I had to say something. I was on oxycodone 10/325 for years for chronic pain and never had a problem with side effects. Since being on Oxaydo, from day one, I’ve felt sick. Stomach pain and burning, nausea, constipation, horrible headaches and bouts of dizziness not to mention I’m in more pain now than ever. I’ve barely left the house since I started this crap. While I think an abuse-deterrent is a great idea, something is not right with this medication.”

For Chronic Pain “Breast cancer left side and radiation damage. My left arm is in constant pain. I work long hours so don’t want to make any pain meds during work but want something to help me sleep through the night – pain relieve. The OTC meds is tearing my stomach and cause uncontrol bowel movement. Would this help with pain so I can rest? It’s been over 16 months and I have not had more than 6 hour sleep. I also want to make sure this is not habit forming”
