What is the difference between dysphagia and dysphasia?
Both of these words refer to a certain disease respectively, but these two diseases are not relative. They only have similar spellings.
Dysphagia refers to difficulty swallowing, and this is a disease that often occurs in senior citizens.
However, dysphasia means an impairment of the ability to use or understand a language. Often, the cause of dysphasia is a brain injury or disease.
