Dogs, like all the other mammals, rely on water to keep their bodies working. If water is lacking, dehydration may occur.
Symptoms of dehydration in dogs
- loss of appetite
- loss of skin elasticity
- reduced energy level
- dry nose and gums
- sunken,dry-looking eyes
- panting
Treating dehydration in dogs
If the dehydration is mild, offer your dog a bowl of water. If your dog is dehydrated for a medical reason, you need to take her to the veterinarian.
